Kettle Street: a cosy British life sim
You’ve just moved into a flat on Kettle Street with a few boxes and not much else. Maureen next door has already put the kettle on.
Your first week is free. Then a one-off £4.99 to keep playing. No adverts, no subscriptions.
Watch the trailerThe number 12 on the High Street. Filmed in the game.
A week on Kettle Street.
Find work, pay your way, make friends with the neighbours and turn a bare flat into a proper home, one wage packet at a time. Kettleby runs on a week like yours.
-
Mon01/07
Rent day.
The rent goes out first thing. Clock on at the depot and get every parcel to the right door before tea.
-
Tue02/07
Make it yours.
Spend your wages on Doorstep: an armchair, a lamp, a fresh coat of paint. Parcels are left with a neighbour, naturally.
-
Wed03/07
Quiz night.
Pull pints for Jackie at the Red Lion, or get a round in and take on Stan’s team at the quiz.
-
Thu04/07
Bin day.
Wheel the bin out for the lorry, or Maureen at number 11 will do it for you. She’ll mention it. Then it’s curry club at the Tandoori.
-
Fri05/07
The number 12.
Take the double-decker round town. Pull up at the flag, open the doors, don’t jolt the passengers. Fish Friday at the chippy after.
-
Sat06/07
Market day.
Stalls in Victoria Park, Second Hand Rose’s bargains, and peas for the ducks. Not bread.
-
Sun07/07
Dinner at Mum’s.
Catch the X7 coach to Pendlebridge for a roast, a word about your bank statement, and leftovers to take home.
Do the job yourself.
There’s no clicking “work” and waiting. Every job is something you actually do, and every shift pays into the same bank account the rent comes out of. Work your way up for better pay, perks and a reference for the letting agent.

Train driver
Kettleby to Saundersby and back. Six stations each way, signals, a timetable, and the sea at the end of the line.
Crew room, Kettleby station
Maureen’s already put the kettle on.
Seven neighbours, a street group chat, and favours to do. Help out and they’ll warm to you, have you round for a brew, and leave a present on the step. Ignore them and things get a bit frosty.
Mum, Dad and your brother Liam are a text away. Mum has opinions about your bank statement, and there’s always a roast on a Sunday if you get the coach.
Mum Family chat
All these coffees at that café! You’ve got a kettle. You live on Kettle Street, for goodness’ sake.
“The texts between family are spot on!”

Now open
All aboard for the coast.
Kettleby’s station has opened, and the newest job is driving the three-car train to Saundersby and back: power and brake on one handle, stop at the board, wait for the guard’s bell, and mind the level crossing.
Saundersby, the seaside town at the end of the line, comes next. You can see the beach huts from the cab.
Read the noticeKettleby keeps the real calendar.
The town’s year runs on the real date, so December lasts a whole December, and everyone’s in the same season at once. Come back through the year and the town has changed with it.

March to May
- Blossom on the trees in the park
- Hot cross buns at Rosie’s
- An Easter egg hunt, and a foil egg or two to find
- April showers

June to August
- The ice cream cart by the pond on sunny afternoons
- Light till ten
- The odd heatwave, and the grass burnt to straw
- Peas for the ducks. Still not bread

September to November
- Conkers and crunchy leaves
- Pumpkins on the doorsteps and fancy dress at the Red Lion
- Bonfire Night: fireworks over Victoria Park
- Poppy wreaths at the memorial

December to February
- Christmas lights on the High Street
- The Christmas market and a brass band
- Snowmen in the park and a white Christmas week
- New Year’s Eve at the Red Lion

A fantastic game and the perfect cosy life simulation: easy to dip in and out of, or get completely absorbed in for hours.

Been wanting a cosy lifesim that’s ‘quintessentially’ British. It really scratches that itch to play a game that feels familiar and homely.

In the few weeks I have been playing, they’ve already added a few new features and there are more to come.

In the works
The Business Expansion
Fancy a business of your own? Choose from a range of businesses, take on a unit, give it a name, fit it out and open the doors.
After that, the train takes you to the seaside at Saundersby. And there’s a third expansion in the works that we’re keeping under wraps.
See what’s comingTown notices.
What’s new in Kettleby. The same notices are on the Council app on your phone in the game.
- Version 1.3.4 New in town A thank-you, and a print for the wall A thank-you from all of us who make Kettle Street: everyone with the full game gets a letter through the door from the team, and a print of Kettleby for the wall.
- Version 1.3.3 New in town Something on the rooftops Halloween night in Kettleby: keep an eye on the rooftops and the front doors after dark on the 31st…
- Version 1.3.2 Repairs Pixel 10s back in the picture Fixed a white screen on Pixel 10 phones with Android 17: their graphics chip stops drawing when there are shadows, so shadows are off on those phones. You can try them again in Settings → Shadows.
The small print.
What it costs, what it runs on, and how to get in touch.
How much is it?
It’s free to download, and your first week in Kettleby is free. To keep playing after that, it’s a one-off purchase of £4.99 in the UK (the store sets the price in other countries). That gets you everything in Kettleby today: every job, the seasons and events, moving house, and the updates we’ve added since launch. Bigger expansions may come along in the future as separate add-ons, and we’ll always say clearly what’s included before you buy. Bought it already? Tap “Already bought it?” on the card and the store will find it.
Are there adverts or subscriptions?
No. No adverts, no subscriptions, no energy timers and no loot boxes.
What can I play it on?
iPhone, iPad and Android phones and tablets, upright or on its side. A Mac and PC version is on the way.
Does it work offline?
Yes. There’s no account and no sign-in. Your save stays on your device, and you can keep a copy of it as a file from Settings.
Does the town really follow the real calendar?
It does. Kettleby’s seasons, holidays and events go by the real date in the UK, so it’s autumn in Kettleby when it’s autumn here, and Christmas lasts a whole December. If you’d rather have summer all year, you can pin a season in Settings.
Is it finished?
Kettleby’s still growing. New jobs, places and events have been arriving every week or so since launch, and the town notices say what’s new each time.
I’ve found a bug, or I’ve got an idea.
Write to the Council: there’s an app for it on your phone in the game, and the letters come straight to us. Or email hello@assurepath.co.uk.
Write to the Council.
Kettle Street is made in Manchester by a tiny independent studio. The Council app on your phone in the game sends your ideas and bug reports straight to us, and plenty of them have already made it into Kettleby.
Come and say hello, show us your flat, or tell us what Maureen said.
